About Feed Me Reads

Feed Me Reads came about from a class I took to for school. I needed to take one more class to finish my associates and the only class that sounded slightly interesting was Web Business Creation. Never in my wildest dream did I realize that this class would launch me into the realm of being an entrepreneur and owning my own business. What began as a class just to take so I could finish my degree, turned into learning about a side of myself I didn't know existed and a business I am excited about developing.

Feed Me Reads was one of the multiple ideas I had for a business. When my mind started going crazy with ideas of how I could run this business and create my website, I knew I had discovered the right topic or niche for me and hopefully you as well. As I state below, I am here to feed your need to read.

About Marilyn C.

“...and best of all, the wilderness of books, in which she could wander, where she liked, made the library a region of bliss to her.”
― Louisa May Alcott, Little Women

“Take some books and read; that’s an immense help, and books are always good company if you have the right sort.”
― Louisa May Alcott, Little Women

Hello, fellow book lovers. Welcome to my site.

As you would suspect, I am a lover of books. I love to lose myself to a good story and imagining myself in the plot. However, this hasn't always been the case. I struggled to learn how to read and had to take special reading lessons. Because of this, I dreaded reading.

It wasn't until 6th grade that I discovered that books could be enjoyed. My 6th-grade teacher introduced a book reading competition. Due to my very competitive nature, I was determined to win the competition. I got the longest book I could find, Little Women, and proceeded to read it.

Little Women was a turning point for me. I could see a bit of myself in each of the March sisters. It taught me that books have more to them than just words. They can be full of laughter, sadness, requited love, tragedy, longing, desires, dreams, and adventure. The list is really endless.

After Little Women, I was forever doomed to be a book worm. I just didn't want to read, I needed to read. It became part of me and I was happiest when I had a book in my hands.

I am excited to get the chance to pass this love and need to others. I am here to help you find the books that will feed your need to read and hopefully help you enjoy the journey along that way.
